Login Issues - Post-Patch

Guys, I hate to do this to you, but there are just so many threads on this I have to consolidate a bit here - folks will get lost in the flood otherwise.

If you are still having login issues, there are a few things to check first - then some suggestions on possible solutions.

We are very aware some realms are having issues at the moment. All were restarted a bit ago, some have been restarted again.

If you cannot login to your realm, we need to know the following.

Is it only ONE character? If you can log into your realm - but not a specific character please try this.

1. Log out of WoW completely, I also highly recommend rebooting your machine.
2. Try logging into another character, then retry the character that is having an issue. If you know you logged out in say - Naxx, go ahead and submit a petition for a GM to move that character. There is no way out of there short of GM intervention.
3. If the above steps do not help - proceed to the steps below.


If you cannot log in at all to a realm - after you've tried the steps above - please let us know the following.

Character Name

Realm

How are are you getting into logging in
Authentication
Realm List
Log in screen - loading screen won't clear

Any other details you feel may apply - streaming client, trial account - etc.

We do appreciate your patience and are trying to sort these issues out for you just as quickly as we possibly can.

Thank you for the continuous flow of information, folks; it's very much appreciated. I've no ETA at present, but will continue to check back with you as the day and our work progresses.

If one character on a realm is inaccessible (while the rest remain playable), creating a petition and listing the category as "Stuck" will allow our staff to come to your aide.

With that said, most characters should become "unstuck" on their own shortly.

This does not apply should you receive "World Server is Down" messages, though. Our Technicians are still working to resolve these issues.

As a small heads up: In effort to resolve the issues affecting realms on both Ruin and Vindication, a restart or brief downtime may be necessary. This is not yet confirmed, so it's possible realms may remain active; however, please do not be alarmed should you see your realms go offline or be provided with the restart warning.

Should such become necessary, I'll provide an update herein, and a post will be created with our Realm Status forum.
