Mounts and Vanity Pets - Please Read

Greetings all —

We are fully aware of the situation regarding a number of players not seeing their newly learned Mount and Vanity Pet “spells” and are currently monitoring the issue. This appears to simply be a display issue and it is likely that it will resolve itself in a matter of hours; please be prepared for realm restarts to address any possible issues.

We ask that you wait approximately 24 hours to see if the issue corrects itself before submitting an in-game petition regarding the matter. If after that time you are still unable to use your mount or vanity pet, please submit a petition and our staff will investigate the issue for you.

Updates regarding the matter will be provided as necessary.

To clarify the situation, and to prevent this message from getting lost, I'm going to lock this post.

Additional threads created about the issue will either be deleted or locked.

We will provide an update regarding the resolution that is being worked on when we have one. Until then, please remain patient and rest assured that we will address this issue as quickly as possible.

Thank you for your cooperation on this matter.

As I mentioned in the original post, this issue appears to be a simple display issue where the character has actually learned the ability, but it is not showing in the Pet/Mount tab.

Again, please give things some time to settle, and if you still do not have the Mount and/or Pet in the appropriate tab, please contact our in-game support staff and we'll investigate the issue for you. Please allow approximately 24 hours to pass to see if the issue alleviates itself for you.

Q u o t e:
Shouldn't typing "/cast <mount>" work then? It doesn't. :(

Hence why we're still monitoring the situation; however, we've had a number of cases which have already resolved themselves.

To reiterate:

This appears to be a display issue as a number of the reported cases have resolved themselves.

The situation is being monitored so that we will be able to address any concerns regarding the matter if anyone's issue does not resolve itself on it's own.

As such, we're simply requesting a 24 hour holding period before you submit a petition.

This request does not mean that we will be unable to assist; simply that we would like to be able to ensure that this issue is specifically a display issue. If any additional information is found during our investigations into this issue, updates will be provided accordingly.

Until such time, please remain patient while this matter is investigated.

We understand that many of you are concerned regarding the possible loss of these Mounts and Vanity Pets; however, we ask for your patience for the time being.

I wasn't concerned until you said that.

It's actually an unlikely occurrence in regards to this situation. =)

Blizzard has still *not* given us that reassurance.

We will work to resolve any issue that is brought to our attention.

As you guys are obviously looking for some additional information regarding this matter, I'd like to share a small tidbit of information.

Dezathor: I see that you used a number of those mounts around 2008/10/14 23:15:00 GMT. You just do not currently have the ability to summon them for some reason. This matter is being looked into; however, as stated previously, quite a number of these issues have resolved themselves and simply appear to be caused by a display issue.

I will be unable to investigate each and every one of your reports, so please don't ask. ^_^

I hope that the knowledge that we are able to verify these issues is settling for you.

As I mentioned before, we simply as that you wait to submit a petition so that we can address other concerns while this matter is being investigated and addressed.

Rey has mentioned it about 5 times so far, so im going to assume he means it.

Let's make that about 6 times.

Just wait folks. ^_^

Q u o t e:
This is clearly NOT A DISPLAY issue rather than game functionality issue now.

I don't mean to be rude or anything, but where exactly are you getting this information? I'd love to know. ^_^

Q u o t e:
The reason I am assuming this is because we were told we can reclaim one time only destroyed pets from stable masters.

Okay. =)

I'm going to say this again, and I'm going to continue to say it until it is understood.

There are reasons why we've requested that you wait to place a petition while this issue is investigated. Asking you to wait does not mean that we're not going to assist you with this issue, nor does it mean that anything is "for sure".

This matter is a very high priority for us and will continue to be until the appropriate resolution is found.

Guys, just popping in.

No updates on this yet.

Please don't panic. In some cases (many in fact) this is indeed a display issue.

In others (especially if there was a realm issue close to the time you learned the pet), it may be 'gone'.

The first case will right itself - indeed some are reporting they already have. The second case is very fixable, although it may take a bit.

They are still looking into this - if there is anything else we can pass along, we surely will.

Being a pet collector myself - I do understand how upsetting this can be. Stay tuned and stay calm, while scary - this isn't quite as bad as it may feel at the moment.

Hey folks,

Sorry for the delayed response. =)

Sadly, I don't have any specific updates, or an ETA on a resolution at this time. I can assure you that we're working around the clock to find an appropriate resolution.

I'm going to have to ask for your patience again in the mean time.

Lost ALL of my mounts, GM told me to go buy new ones...

No, no they didn't Lunchbeast.

Let's not spread any strange rumors, okay?

The GM suggested I go buy new mounts, I'm not lying.

I reviewed your petition, and the conversation you had with the Game Master, Lunchbeast; perhaps you're misremembering what was said?

Just hold tight?

At this point? Yes.

As I mentioned before, we're working on a resolution. I don't have any specific information at this time, however. We're hoping to have this issue resolved soon. =)

We need solid assurance.

*hands you [Solid Assurance]*

If I was able to guarantee anything, I would. However, we're working on a resolution that should resolve any issues that have been experienced in regards to this. We're simply awaiting an update regarding the matter, and hope to have the matter resolved soon.

Still no ETA at this time, folks. =/

Q u o t e:
i have got confirmation from more than one guildie now that they are being told by gm's answering tickets that they never had the item....

like at least 3 guildies.

I really do doubt that, Shalymar.

If anything, it was more than likely a misunderstanding somewhere along the line.

Also of note, out of the number of petitions that are in place by your guild, the majority of them haven't even been addressed yet. The others have been escalated to be addressed when possible.
