Whats the point of keeping/rolling a warrior?

Can we all be candid? i think this is a legitimate complaint.

A Warrior used to be DPS. if you wanted to do DPS you rolled an arms or fury warrior and yes a ROGUE(since i forgot to add that in there). Since then and many revolutions later the warrior class(the arms and fury talents) have nerfed beyond recognition.

Now every class has that warrior DPS ability.... right now the ret pally will out DPS a warrior, heck right now before the patch a prot pally has a chance to out DPS a warrior. A feral druid can go bear and tank if they to, or they can go cat and out DPS warrior. both of these classes can also heal, while the druid gets the stealth. rogue can out DPS warrior and stealth... Mage can out DPS everyone and can CC.

So i ask you why is it that all these classes can DPS just like a warrior and still have all these abilties yet the warrior has no abilities or options that other classes have? they let everyone else take the DPS from warriors yet the warriors get no one else's special abilties. why do they do this? how has it come to this?

Bring the player, not the class.

But I can't heal. If they really want to bring me, but still need a healer, they won't take me.

Bandage faster.

Yes, there are some classes that don't fulfill certain rolls. I don't expect to see mages healing or priests tanking anytime soon, but in regards to warriors which is what started this thread, if you need a tank or a dps, the warrior can do it - it's just a matter if you want that player coming or not.

hardly justifiable.

You guys wanted to avoid people getting turned away for their buffs, so you homogeneised buffs, and every buff a dps warrior can bring, another class can do better now. (might is better than shout because you dont have to refresh it and because of Bshout's small range, leader of the pack is better because its up 100% of the time as opposed to when you crit, and it heals, rogues bring their version of blood frenzy)

Thats fine...

But then, every class has a little something they can bring to the raid outside of those shared buffs, pallies can bubble, heal, lay on hand, bring one of many auras, all while doing the same damage as the warrior, except the warrior has nothing over him, why get a warrior, when you can get a pally that does the same thing AND bubbles + heal +LoH? Thats just one comparison, im just saying either warrior lacks personal utility to bring to a raid, or they should get bubble too.

If a player plays better with all the utility and various roles they can fulfill, yes, I can see why you wouldn't want to bring in some other player that they outdo in every aspect.

And in response to Blue up there yea us warriors can be tank or dps...

for the small small fee of 45g every time we change + repairs...... we can pretty much just go back and forth like its nothing :)

As you probably know from BlizzCon, dual talent specs are being worked on. Cha-ching.

Speaking of which...

Release date for that feature?

Not today.

More details will be available as things get ironed out, but it will still be a little while before it's ready.
