CD-Key Already in use...

I'm posting this on behalf of a friend.

I have a friend who wanted to start playing WoW so he bought the battle chest and started to install it. We put the 1st CD-Key for the normal WoW in and it worked fine. When we were installing The Burning Crusade however, it said that the CD-Key we were putting in was already in use. We made sure that we put it in very carefully both in and out of Caps Lock. So we chalked it up to someone tampering with the packaging and stealing the code as we couldn't remember the boxes' condition before we opened it.

So we took it back to the store and exchanged it for a new copy. So we proceeded to install the new CD-Key for The Burning Crusade and we got the same problem twice. The packaging on the new one was perfect and didn't look as if it had been tampered with at all so I don't if someone stealing the Key is the answer or not.

So now we're not sure what to do. Exchange it again and maybe 3rd times the charm?

Just wanted to check if this was a known issue or not.

Thank you.

Within the Battlechest there are two CD-keys. Please make sure you are entering the Burning Crusade CD-key when trying to upgrade the account to the Burning Crusade. If you are certain that you are entering the correct code in the correct place, please try returning this product to the place of purchased.
