Why is there a 25 quest limit?

Yes, there is a specific reason. While we could expand upon how many quests you can take (and have before), what happens is that eventually, people start forgetting what quests they were working on, they find their inventory filled with one quest item or another that they've forgotten about and in generally, sometimes feel overwhelmed with finding what they should be doing next.

It's not meant as a punishment, but as a way of managing quests a bit better by limiting how many you have stocked up and helping people focus more on areas in which they have quests.

I've run into this problem quite a bit too. I get a bunch of dungeon quests that I want to do, but haven't got time to actually do the dungeon, so I'd like to go out and do a few other quests to level up a bit, but I can't without dropping the dungeon quests.

I'm a big boy. I promise not to take more quests than I can manage.

I'm sure you're perfectly capable, however, not everyone is a veteran player of the game or even MMORPGs. We do need to think of those that are just getting started and not overwhelming them from the first moment they start off. :)

Might I suggest, posting suggestions about improvements you'd like to see in the Suggestions Forum? That's the best place to put those. The question was asked as to why we do what we do, I answered and can also certainly forward feedback on what you feel about the current limitation. :)
