I foolishly at the start of Sunwell bought a long subscription thinking things would get better. I admit I was foolish, but I thought mages would scale better in later content. I just saw my DPS slip further and further down the ladder when I had to work harder and harder to keep up. Mages scaled horribly at T6 compared to other classes, but I wish not to derail this post.
WOTLK is even going to make things worse as: 1) PVP gear requires arena (Blizzard's favourite esport) 2) Diluted raid experiences with homogenization of classes and the 10/25 raid mechanic 3) Oversimplified dungeon designs that give no sense of exploration or discovery or accomplishment but only provide a quick means to get gear.
Considering the above anything more than 30 dollars for this new expansion is too much.
Thank you for your input. However, I'd like to ask you to reserve your judgments until after you've had a chance to see feedback given by others on your particular class in the expansion. Perhaps, if the feedback is to your liking, you will be able to give it another go.

Sorry for the side note here...but Mages on live, PTR, and Beta forums have been saying...no screaming it and yet Blizzard Devs are still nerfing the heck out of them. If things went live now with the patch and xpac then Mages would be in a far worse spot at lvl80 than they are now at lvl70. I just wish We would stop being lied to to and tell us up front that the DeVs feel like completely destroying the Class.
