Since you work at the TX office, can you give me any info on the GM positions there? I assume they're still hiring for it because it's listed on www.blizzard.com , however I have applied and not heard anything. Also, since you've been through the process and obviously made it, any advice for prospective applicants on what would best increase the chances of being successfully hired for that position at that office? I'd send all this in a private message if these forums supported it, but this is the only way I can get in touch with you.

Thanks!

Craazy

uryk previously stated, that he had to wait for a while for the call, but he would not be able to offer more specifics.

Indeed, Silmarwen is correct. I had to wait a bit of time before I heard back the first time I turned in my resume. I posted that a while back, Craazy.

Keep in mind the process I went through was in California, so it was a little different. Also, I was a Game Master who has been with the company for a while, and been in a few positions while with Blizzard.

As you yourself have noted, I am not in charge of hiring here, and am unable to give exact details. But, I can still give you hope, that we are still hiring at this time.

*Cheers!!!* Great news

So, Auryk, you're not ignoring me, are you? And you did notice that I chose the baby toitle as a pet, right? Just for you! (okay, partially for you :>P)

How are you this lovely day? <3

I assure you, dear, I am not ignoring you! <3 (http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=106675881&postId=1065766406&sid=1#11)

I did see that you now have a baby speedy. I would like you to show him the same kindnesses you gave the Orphan child. Let him stretch his legs, and run free as often as you can. :0)

You're very kind to post a reply to me, thank you. I appreciate your clarification of your experience as I was only able to search 10 pages of your posts so I wasn't aware of what you had posted before. I didn't realize you were a Game Master in CA and moved to TX. I guess you still had to apply for it even though it was the same department in the company just different locale? I suppose I had been hoping not for exact details, but more a recounting of your experience which you have given me a glimpse of here, and advice having made it to the other side which no doubt educated you on what you did well and what you would have done better knowing what you know now. Mere conversation with you has proved helpful so far, thank you.

Most welcome, Craazy! As for advice, I am not comfortable lying when in an interview, and even have trouble glorifying deeds more than needed. Confidence is good, but not so much that it can be taken as egotistical.

Be truthful; don't try to get a sales job by saying you can sell 100 cars in an hour, and not be able to make that quota.

Be yourself, if you have a passion for games, and the company, and the desire to help people let it show.

I don't think I can go into too much more detail, without overstepping by boundaries.

***Note***
This is my personal opinions, and thoughts on the matter.

I promise I will <3 That line reminds me of The Phantom of the Opera. I've actually sung that song....several times :>)

I am a fan of musicals, that line was meant to sound like The Phantom. <3
