"Inappropriate" name....?

I understand this to an extent.....but...I don't see why it is, ok I opened a gm ticket cause some people were being....rude....nicely put and after the ticket is closed and all later....the gm later pops up and says my name is "Inappropriate" and I have to rename my character(was AlassÃƒÂ« now Alassie) I I don't see the problem with the ÃƒÂ«.....since i'm not trying to name my character Alasse but its already taken, its pronounced with the ÃƒÂ« cause I found it under elven names.....it need the ÃƒÂ« or it loses its meaning, I can understand why blizz won't allow letters and stuff like that....but you can pronouce every name with just the letters a-z.....thats why we have things like ÃƒÂ«.....so....whats up with that blizz?

This category includes both clear and masked names which:

* Are mildly inappropriate references to human anatomy or bodily functions
* Consist of any alphanumeric character not normally found on a standard 101/102 key keyboard (OÃ‚Â§iriÃ‚Â§, Ã…Â¸elena, JaÃ…Â¡on; Does not apply to Guild, Arena Team or Pet Names unless used to impersonate an existing guild or arena team, or could be considered pure gibberish.)
* Are references to illegal drugs or activities
* Have neutral or positive racial/ethnic/national connotations
* Have neutral or positive connotations of major religions or religious figures (i.e. Jesus, Christianity, Buddha)
* Include names of World of Warcraft realms, zones, or names of major characters from Warcraft lore
* Are otherwise considered inappropriate for the game world

Malleusma, unfortunately as other regions that use this same client do use these characters in the name selection process the option of disabling them isn't one currently available. If you feel that a change to this process should be made please post on the Suggestions Forum.
