Using Crusader Aura = Ban?

I logged on last week to find my account had been suspended by Blizzard, and found an email regarding the suspension later that day. Apparently, a GM had witnessed me moving 'much faster than possible' on a mount, and had summarily frozen the account for speed hacking.

Let me first say, I haven't, nor will I ever, use a hack program during WoW. That's just something I guess you'll have to take me at my word. I've been playing consistantly since closed beta, spent hundreds of dollars on subscription fees, and have invested FAR too much time in WoW to do a petty thing like hack it three years after launch. It's a stupid idea in the first place, and beyond idiotic to rish 2+ years of work on an account.

That being said, the only plausible (however rediculous) explanation is Crusader Aura. I'm a BE Paly who uses a Green Undead Epic Mount and I always have my crusader up. Therefore, I should move at 120%. I don't use a Riding Crop or any peripherals to boost my speed. I'm extremely concerned that said GM saw me happily cruising around Nagrand and banned me for perceived hacking when in fact I was only using a class ability. My big question is: if Bliz can 1: make this mistake and justify it, and 2: fail to see the mistake alltogether, will this occur again?

Should I just stop using Crusader?

It's honestly not worth the risk of a permanent ban to move 20% faster, and if Bliz fails to give me SOME feedback I'll have to assume that GM error is the case and just stop using the skill. Might I add, that scenario would be RETARDED AS HELL, and would pretty much undermine any respect I had for the company (which in the past is pretty considerable).

I feel this is appropriate for the Paly forums because apparently I'm not the only Paly player at risk of this stupidity. Has anyone has had this experience or know someone that has? It'd be a simple thing if I HAD hacked, and I could just accept the consequence and move on. But unfortunately, this isn't the case. I don't want to be banned, but if the GMs can't discern 120% from 100%, well...... I"m a little scared for us all.

The mere use of Crusader Aura will not constitute an account suspension or closure. In fact, its use should preclude both, as the aura will display a buff indicating mounted speed increase (which can be witnessed by Game Masters upon review).

If you wish to dispute this action, Grahf, you are welcome to communicate with Account Administration. I've supplied their appropriate contact information below.

You don't know why he did it. Maybe s/he has trouble with the opposite gender and took it out on you because his/her ex-BF/GF pissed him/her off. Maybe he's a racist. Maybe you have an Arabic name and the GM (who are now all in Texas) is an ignorant neo-con bigot.

There are quite a few things wrong with this statement.

Again, if you wish to dispute the action, please contact Account Administration. There is no need to speculate intentions or biases; simply present your case, if wanted, and the appropriate representatives will happily review the situation.

Woot for intellectually challenged GMs.

Blizzard has telephone customer service as well. Try both phone service and written correspondence. Overall though, the three days that they took from you would take more time and effort for you to get back than the time you lost. Two weeks of phone calls and word processing > 3 days of play time.

We have phone lines allocated for Billing and Technical Support needs only; all in-game and account-specific issues must handled via the Game Master department or Account Administration.

I've provided the proper contact information for these avenues of pursuit in my previous response.
