Blackrock - Eastern Kingdoms unstable.

This has been going on since last night. While Outlands and Kalimdor seem to be unaffected there is a VERY noticable delay on performing *any* action if you are anywhere in Eastern Kingdoms. Latency itself is fine but this phantom lag is making things quite annoying.

Can someone investigate?

I know this is frustrating folks, and I am very sorry about that. I'm doublechecking the status of Blackrock (among others) right now, but that doesn't mean we'll necessarily get word back to pass on soon.

We haven't forgotten about you.

The problem is, Caitybuns, is our technicians have not been able to verify these latency reports. I have logged into the realm and I'm not experiencing any increased latency at all.

They continue to look into the issue but so far it looks like it may be a localized issue for specific players or perhaps regions.

To you folks experiencing this issue can you please list a bit more information that I can pass on to our technicians?

Where are you experiencing the latency? A specific continent, a specific instance?

Are you experiencing casting delays, looting delays, NPC interaction delays?

When do you experience the latency? All the time? Only in spurts?

What area of the world are you playing from? Who is your provider?

I can only report what information I am provided, I recently found out that they were unable to verify the latency reports. Also although I am normally one to appreciate sarcasm, do you really think this is the time?

Technically speaking this forum is here to address in-game issues not technical or realm issues, we do so because we understand that the issue may be frustrating and we try to relay what information we can when it becomes available.

I will continue to try and provide updates when I receive them, I will also forward the information you folks provide me so perhaps our technicians can use it to help track down what the issue may be.

Jumping into a thread hourly when you don't have any new information isn't very useful in fact many think it frustrating. When new information is given I will provide an update.

The issue is still being investigated, monitored and addressed accordingly.

Unfortunately, we do not have any updates at this time; as mentioned previously, when we have information to share, it will be provided.

We understand, Weezy. =)

We've dealt with a number of similar issues and we know what to expect. ;)

And with that, we'd much rather be providing the news that the issue is resolved; however, that isn't always an option, nor would it be the appropriate thing to do in this case. Steps have indeed been taken to address the matter, however, we must continue to monitor the situation in order to get a better understanding.

Regrettably, it does take some time for our technicians to verify, and correct issues such as this.

As a heads up, folks:

    We will be performing urgent restarts on the following realms to resolve some issues as we continue to prepare for Wrath of the Lich King. The restarts will begin at 3:10PM PDT. The realms will be down for about 15 minutes each and the entire process should be complete by approximately 5:30PM PDT.
