Tauren can't get the Albino Drake Achievement

So owning 50 mounts to get an Albino Drake is a respectable achievement... unless you're a Tauren, then it is impossible. This is my main character and the archaic restriction on Tauren being unable to ride troll, forsaken, and blood elf mounts is plain unfair and silly.

The current system allows everyone except Tauren to get this mount with little effort. If I were an Orc or Troll I'd have it now.

By reducing the initial number from 75 to 50 for Tauren, all you did was make it extremely easy for everyone to get the drake except Tauren. So now we are *capable* of getting it, but it’s a joke for everyone else.

If you want to make it as difficult for everyone else as it is for Tauren, put the amount of mounts required to get a drake back at 75, but remove 18 from Tauren, for a total of 57. The value of 18 comes from the mounts we are unable to purchase from the forsaken, trolls, and blood elves.

Similarly, remove 6 from Humans, Draenei, and Night Elves, since they cannot purchase the 6 mechanostriders.

Or, how about just removing the archaeic mount restrictions? Best solution. By allowing Tauren to ride the white hawkstrider and the baron rivendare mount, you are contradicting yourselves.

50 mounts is definitely achievable for a Tauren. I agree that it isn't easy to do before Wrath of the Lich King launches like it might be for some races, but there will be a number of new mounts in the expansion that will make this more of a possibility for many of these players.

No, really, he was just whining about it not being as easy for Tauren as for others. He knew Tauren could get them, he just wanted them as soon as possible. He admitted it somewhere on the first page, I think.

Just trying to set the record straight. It's a fun achievement to have and if we make it a challenge to the other races then it probably would be impossible for Tauren to get it. Right now I think this number feels pretty good for Tauren and the other races but it could always get tweaked a little bit since it's still in testing.

With the new UI system that is coming in the next patch, non of them will take up bag space. Neither will any of the hordes of non-combat pets.
