50 Mount Achievement: Need Blue Response

Achievement: Leading the Calvary is granted by obtaining 50 mounts. The reward for this is evidentally going to be an Albino Drake.

Two things I need addressed here.

As a tauren we are put at a severe disatvantage. If we were able to ride the purchasable Troll Racial Raptor's, BE Racial Hawstriders, and Undead Racial Skeletal Horses we would have access to an additional 18 mounts for purchase that other Horde races have.

I really think this needs to be changed finally now that there is going to be an actual item reward based on mounts you have. 18 Mounts we cant purchase is a little off dont you think.

This leads me to my second point, for the leading the calvary achievement does any rideable mount count? For example, Card Loot Mounts, Flying Mounts, AQ Bug Mounts, Holiday Mounts, LVL 40 mounts and so on.

I woulnt see why anything thats rideable would count towards the tally but figured it was worth asking.

The number was dropped so while it may be easier for other races to complete, with all the new mounts being added in Wrath of the Lich King, it is definitely achievable for them at 50.

Permanent mounts are what count so while all of these counted last I checked, it could still change as the beta continues.

Correct. I know we are still tweaking things in the beta so they might not count in the future - just something to keep in mind.

Yup. Tauren can ride Baron Rivendare's Mount, Attument the Huntsman's Steed, and the White Battlestrider or whatever the frick its called.

I'm comfortable with the current system although I do recognize that it represents a flaw in logic that the white hawkstrider can carry us but apparently none of the other similarly sized birds can.

Some mounts are stronger mounts and can handle the additional weight. These rare mounts are likely trained to be super strong by their previous owner.
