As others have noted, peripherals like the N52, and various keyboards or mice that incorporate macro functions are fine to use. The drivers that 'run in the background' for such devices have not presented any issues in the past.

Please keep in mind, though, that some of them offer the ability to program macro functions which do constitute violations of our policies. It's essential to avoid automation and other exploitative uses. As a general rule of thumb, a single keypress (which includes both key press and release) should result in a single action.

If you want to duplicate a macro, it is safest to use the default in-game macroing system, and attach one of your keys to that macro. Regardless, a single keypress should never result in multiple in-game actions.
