Employment with Blizzard

Hi, I was just sifting through the "Careers" page of the Blizzard Entertainment site, and noticed that all the positions, even the online ones like "Forum Moderator" were positions in Irvine, California. Do they just say that to have an actual place cause the headquarters is there or is the only way I'm going to be employed by Blizzard is if I live within reasonable driving distance of Irvine, California?

Aside from the Game Master openings in Austin, TX, all positions are available in Irvine, CA (unless otherwise noted for a separate region).

You gain +10 happiness for one hour.

Edit:

Q u o t e:
You seem to have misplaced the "Edit Signature" button then. ;)

Say that again??

I just want Pavvy to share his knowledge of the English language and give me a hand with this little project I have, though moonkin huggles are inevitable :>P

I feel so... used. Is that all I am to you, an especially fluffy dictionary? *sob*

And it breaks my heart
And it breaks my heart

but it breaks my heart
when it breaks my heart
breaks my heart
and it breaks my heart

Goodnight, Krucy; nice having you here. :)

Pav has the power... /curtsies to pav for gracing us with her presence.

I'm male, actually, but you're not the first to think otherwise. :P

Q u o t e:
So so wait, getting back on the forum topic, Pavvie are you currently at the bliz hq sitting in a cubicle? Or are you at home just logged on as a moderator? Cause it would suck to be stuck at work at 1am... But i guess bliz never goes to sleep cause you have all those techies there too.

It's "only" about ten to midnight here, but I'm at work -- I work Nights, so my shift is less than orthodox. ;)

Pav, can you go poke one of the web site administrators? The Blizzard.com splash page hasn't updated yet.

Would if I could, Saroset, but we'll just have to remain patient. :)

Q u o t e:
Why can't you? You're all in the same building, right? Or are you duct taped to your desk?

It's not as simple as that, I'm afraid; the Game Master Department has no direct contact with the Web Team, and even if I did, I wouldn't presume to tell them how to update the official website. I'm confident that http://www.blizzard.com shall reflect the recent announcement soon enough. :)

Q u o t e:
And when you have to write up your report of what happened in the forums tonight, what will you say?

I'm not sure how this is relevant to the discussion, but I'll likely mention the hullabaloo surrounding the announcement. ;)

Q u o t e:
So.. wait... Do you have to submit a like daily report? I'm curious as to the details contained within this report..

Much like many other office workers, we usually send a brief overview of our shift, notable threads we've responded to, etc. Nothing fancy. :)

More a matter of correct terminology than anything else; the two terms are mostly synonymous. :)
