I have been trying to obtain an API key for the past year. I have followed the steps as listed in the WoW API documentation:

Registering an application is a matter of providing a description of the application, how you plan on using the API and your contact information to api-support@blizzard.com with the subject "Application Registration Request". Once we receive your request, we will contact you to either provide additional information or with application keys to use.

I have sent out 5 emails so far but never receive any replies. :/ Is it not possible anymore to receive an API key? A quick search on this forum didn't make me any wiser. Please enlighthen me as I have put a lot of work in my WoW website and would love to obtain an API key.

Don't know about the other emails, but your email from the 17th is in the "Give Key" queue, we just haven't a key deploy in a while (right now busy with Blizzcon stuff).

Sorry for the delay. We're working on a much better system than this email stuff :-(
