This has become a very discouraging and upsetting issue with World Of Warcraft, and frankly no IN-game GM has helped me at all , but just upset me more by closing my ticket in a middle of a sentence..

the issue here is I had a character name with some "illegal characters" in it and i was promted to change my name one day while i was logging in...... so I had to pick some random stupid name to log in now I'm stuck with "Nein" .................. Anyway I notice 100's of other people in my server , and other servers, and EVERYWHERE with ASCII characters in their name , and NOTHING happens to them... I've seen multiple 70's even with thingy's in their name, this is outrageous and pisses me off to no end, Blizzard, just either allow ASCII Characters in peoples names, or remove it from your game completely , like in Diablo 2................ Its not fair AT ALL to people like me having their name forced to be changed and have everyone else have special privilages..... Fix this, its annoying...

No one is receiving special privileges, Nein, we do not actively police realms for naming violations, they must be reported to us as yours was.

If you see other characters with the ASCII symbols in their name please feel free to submit an in-game petition and report them to us. A Game Master will look into your report and take the appropriate actions.

Please note that ASCII characters in pet and guild names are exempt from this rule.

As I said, Nein, please submit an in-game petition regarding any names that you believe may violating our Terms of Use. It will be handled there and not on a public forum, thank you. :)
