I've been wondering about the 'Darkshore is under attack' spam that's turning up lots. Here's what happened for me...
After two or three days of the spam, I filed a ticket asking for clarification as to whether that Troll area in Darkshore is a GO or NOGO area. The GM said they couldn't tell me direct, so to look it up on the forums. I did, and found this:
http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=30046515&sid=1&pageNo=1#6
" I have investigated this situation and taken the appropriate actions against those involved. Deadlykris is correct in that these areas cannot be reached via any standard methods in-game. " CM Batta
So, i figured if I saw it again, I'd file yet another ticket... which I did, and got this email response:
"The issue reported is not considered to be "broken" and should be functioning normally."
Of course, this 'form' response doesn't really suit the petition I filed, but I'll take that as an answer of "Don't report these anymore".
So, I filed another GM ticket to seek further clarification. They then asked me what I meant by GO/NOGO (leading me to suspect the hadn't read my previous tickets where it'd be obvious what I meant). Then the GM suggested I post my question in here (an indication maybe that the GM had no idea).
So, here's the questions. Why the discrepency between the post referenced above, and the email sent to me? Furthermore, what is the specific request that *you*, the CM and GMs want, in regard to this matter?
I'm trying to help you guys out here, but it's hard when the information you provide to me conflicts so badly.
Hugs 'n stuff,
Maha.
