So much for them ever bringing this back. I remember that when it went away, all those people who had marks/tokens (whatever they were called) saved up for this even, the vendors were removed.

Blizzard said, Don't worry we'll not only be putting the vendors back in next patch, but this will also become an annual event.

Well, I just checked the Events Calendar, and like many other things over the years that we've been told would or would not happen (that the opposite is true), the vendors never came back, nor is the invasion coming back...it's listed as a one-time event.

Ah well, just for fun, anyone have a complete list of things that have been stated, that have been back-peddled on over the years? Off hand, I can think of this (the scourge), Emerald Dreams, The gambling event in Thousand Needles racetrack, PvE -> PvP Transfers, Fixing AV Balancing issues, and I'm sure given enough time, I could at least double this list.

So I might have peeked..

Can you really blame me?

It's just sitting there...

All bright and shiny...

Gnomes always fall for the shiny things. I like putting something shiny in a jar that is too big for them to pull out. It's hours of entertainment...

This was why I had originally called it inconsiderate. Since the last scourge invasion, I have rolled 3 three new classes, deleted them, rerolled, transferred servers, left the game for 6 months, transferred back, reinstated characters...

I suppose I just find the time scale Blizzard is operating on to be inconsiderate. It's a little like telling someone "Hold onto that 2005 quarter, sonny! It'll be worth a lot of money someday." Sure thing, grandpa.

Interestingly enough, I believe both my mage and priest have a ton of those Runes on them - only because I don't play those characters anymore.

If people chose to get rid of the runes, that's certainly their choice. I can understand wanting to free up bank space, certainly, particularly over the space of time.

Many people playing now never had the chance to get those runes, and if you have none you're right on par with them.

But I don't lie when I say the Necrotic Runes are going to have a use again... quite soon.
