Compensation for honor/marks

I don't know about you, but I put in some serious hours grinding marks and honor, and now knowing Blizzard is just taking them away kind of upsets me. I've got 3 70s, 3 60s, and a couple twinks to think about here, and it seems very unfair that all my work is now for nothing. Any unspent marks and honor are wasted time, wasted effort.

Hours and Hours I could have been raiding or farming. Do you have any idea how much gold I could have made in that time?

I want to see compensation for our marks and honor. Put in a vendor who will buy our marks for X gold each (scaling by level so a lvl 10 gets some copper, a 70 gets much more value). Make that vendor sell vendorable items for honor, the more honnor per item the more it vendors for.

Pay us back for the time we've wasted, blizz. We deserve something for our work.

Even if you have 75,000 honor saved up right now, there is, and will be, plenty on which to spend all of this honor prior to the launch of the expansion. How you choose to spend the honor is up to you, but we do not currently have any plans of providing additional means of compensation for those that have honor left over when Wrath of the Lich King is released.

Can you at least give us an example of what is to come?

I'm not able to provide that information just yet. It will be coming very shortly.

I've already addressed your first and seventh questions below (which are duplicates) in this thread. We will be providing more information on the upcoming items within the next day or so.
Q u o t e:
Could you be more vague? link us to a list

So when is this reset officially happening? at the pre expac patch? or on the release date?

What is the deadline for spending honor/marks? and what happens to unspent honor/marks?
Exactly what can we buy and what are the costs?
I have heard peeps say they become gold. or xp. or nothing. which rumor is tru?
and if unspent get converted, then what is conversion rate? 10honor=1gold 1hono=1gold

Please CLARIFY Blizz.

Any marks or honor not spent on current or upcoming honor rewards between now and the release of Wrath of the Lich King will be wiped upon release.

Your questions have all been answered in this thread and the sticky already, though I hope I've clarified things for you. There's no need to spam multiple threads with copy/paste posts. We're reading the predominate threads on the subject and will address what we can when we can.

you have not addressed them specifically. you gave no "real" answer.
I will commiserate with my fellow wow players as long as i can until you provide REAL answers

All of your questions have been answered. I'll break them down so as to avoid my habit of providing fake answers.

Q u o t e:
Could you be more vague?

Maybe.

Q u o t e:
So when is this reset officially happening? at the pre expac patch? or on the release date?

Upon the release of Wrath of the Lich King, the new expansion for World of Warcraft.

Q u o t e:
What is the deadline for spending honor/marks?

The release of Wrath of the Lich King, the new expansion for World of Warcraft.

Q u o t e:
and what happens to unspent honor/marks?

Honor is reset to 0. Marks are removed from your inventory.

Q u o t e:
Exactly what can we buy and what are the costs?

I am unable to provide you with this information yet, but it's coming this week.

Q u o t e:

Honor and marks don't convert to anything. If you don't use them they go away when Wrath of the Lich King, the new expansion for World of Warcraft is released.

Q u o t e:
Further to this why honor is being reset but gold is not? Both give an advantage and Blizzard by deleting my honor is making it further unfair against those who have gold to buy enchants or other gear so they can better focus on pvp. Why is the time that I have chosen to play the game being penalised? I could have even used my time if I had known about this earlier to level up a new character. Why is it only honor being penalised when for a clean slate you could have reset every character to 0 so there is a perfect clean slate?

Gold is not comparable to honor, arena points, arena ratings, or badges of justice, all of which are being reset -- or made unusable on level 80 gear as is the case with badges -- to keep players from being able to garner full epic-tier sets upon hitting the new level cap.

Edit: Clarified the comments on Badges of Justice.

Perhaps you could address why blizzard already said they were not going to reset:
http://forums.wow-europe.com/thread.html?topicId=4095541705&sid=1&pageNo=20

This information was not available back in May and such a confirmation should not have been made at that time. I can't speak about why it was made, only that it was incorrect.

there is no value to spend honor on stuff that will be useless in less than 2 months, replaced by level 71 green items

You won't replace these items with level 71 greens, especially not for PvP. In beta I was still putting on my season 2 set at level 75 when fighting others out in the world.

thanks for completely wasting my time over the last 2 months you #%#!#*@s. there has been a thread in the pvp forum asking if you were gonna reset honor for weeks and you guys purposefully ignored it just so that you could squeeze that extra month of subscriptions out of us. we got played bigtime.

also i cant wait to see what kind of gear they offer us to buy with our points that will be replaced on the first day of the expansion by a green drop from a level 15 snowshoe hare in northrend. at least allow us to exchange our points in for gold since you think starting the expansion with 10 billion gold is not an advantage.

I'm wondering if this means of communication usually gets you what you want.

This seems fairly obvious by your post, but I just want to confirm. All BoJ currently in our inventories will also disappear when the expansion is released?

I've clarified the original post to which you're referring. I apologize for the confusing word choice. Badges of Justice are not being removed, however, there will be separate tiers of new badges in Wrath of the Lich King. You will be rewarded different types of badges depending on the difficulty of what you're doing (i.e. heroics, 10-mans, 25-mans, etc). What this means is that Badges of Justice will be unusable on level 80 gear, but will remain in your inventory and can be used to purchase items from the current badge vendors in The Burning Crusade.
