No, gear enhancements (gems, enchants, profession perks, etc...) will not contribute to your character’s average ilvl calculation.
The only “enhancement” that will do that is the one provided by the Voidbinders (upgrading), since they directly increase the ilvl of your individual pieces.

I’d like to add one more small suggestion regarding quickly gearing up for LFR if I may (which will also be advantageous when 5.2 and season 13 go live), but only works if you don’t mind a little bit of PvP.

I say this because conquest gear (that you can get by either doing Arenas or Rated/Random BGs) is very competitive for PvE purposes when compared to LFR gear, and in my opinion, quite easy and fast to get, so it could work as a complement to LFR for grabbing those missing epic pieces.

Personally I’d recommend getting at least the 1800 weekly cap by running Arenas in 2v2 (easy to find someone to cap points in 2v2 and that’s about 1 guaranteed epic per week) and this really doesn’t require you to be extremely skilled in Arena, because your rating will eventually be low enough that you will play against players of the same skill level, then it should be between 1-3 hours of time investment per week, tops.
Plus, if you’re still not into it, you might get the PvP bug (a good one for once!), who knows? ;)
