Item restore service worsened to be less work for Blizz

A GM even confirmed that what once could be done isn't allowed anymore. It used to be that an item could be restored when it could be verified that it's legitimate, i.e. that you once had it and are not exploiting the service.

Now there's the automated online service for that, and don't be fooled to believe this is to provide more convenience for the customer. It's just so that it's more convenient for Blizzard.
Now items can only be restored through that interface.
If your item is not in the list, because it was lost before that online method was implemented, this would be a special case, but if you make a GM ticket, they will take the time to tell you that it's 'not possible' anymore. (i.e. against policy) Not even once a month, under the mentioned special circumstances, and no doubt that you once posessed that item.

After this, added to all the other various issues that built up lately with MoP, I have to say that WoW currently sucks very much, and I would exclude from that pretty much everything that comes from the creative people, the artists (writing, graphics, music). That's where the good vibes come from, and that's also why it bothers me a lot that an item with a unique look I want for transmog and once had a few months ago will not be restored, because the old service is not just considered a special case, an exception now, but an impossibility.

This is like a customer hotline with an automated dialogue machine, and if it doesn't understand what you are saying, there's no human who you can talk to you, it just hangs up.

Why am I playing WoW? Because the alternatives suck, too, in one way or another. And I bet a relevant portion of the customer base feels the same. Subscription numbers is probably the worst possible measure for success of an MMO, unless you equal success with nothing but money. Blizzard seems more like the McDonald's of the gaming sector.
