Honor given for losses, WHY?

Seriously, I don't get it. Why give honor for losing?

All this promotes is bots. I've come to this conclusion after farming almost full s10 on this druid in random bgs. I don't think I'm an expert, or even a good player, but I still think my opinion matters after I've done enough bgs to get this much honor. & I've come to the conclusion that the reason I have so many losses is people botting in bgs.

I just did a Strand of The Ancients battle. I assume everyone here is familiar with what is required by the attacking team to win.

I was the ONLY person to take a demo. EVERYONE else fought in the middle of the beach, at the gy spawn. No one moved. No one talked. Most of the team was auto attacking without any use of skills.

I find it extremely hard to believe that this is due to bad players, etc. Anyone can grasp the basic concept of what's involved in a bg, & I doubt anyone thinks its smart to stand in the spot you spawn, and auto attack 12 horde players using multiple skills.

So, I'm guessing they were botting. I don't have any proof of this, but it's pretty obvious in my opinion. No one realistically plays like this.

So, onto my first problem. Honor for losses. I don't think there would be as many bots in bgs if there wasn't any honor gained from losses, because I doubt many teams win when they're filled with bots, but the botters don't care because they're getting honor either way, win or loss, & not doing anything for it, so they don't feel the frustation of losing.

But.. If honor was removed when you lose then they wouldn't be getting anything from the bgs unless they tried. & obviously a bot is never going to compare to a real player when attempting to win.

I also think this would promote people to actually try & win. I've been in numerous WSG battles where when its 2 caps for horde, and 1 for alliance, most of the alliance players will say "Forget it, they've won, let's just quit so we can get it over with fast & get some honor".. That type of idiocy is why most of my bgs end up as losses, & why many of yours do too I'm sure. If there was no honor, they would try to win, or else they would get nothing from it.

I don't want people to tell me to do something else, or use one of the other numerous ways to gain honor, etc. I want an answer as to why randoms bgs grant honor for losses. That's not acceptable to me.
