How to turn off bars?

Since patch 2 bars have appeared under my char how do i get rid or hide them

You should be able to toggle them off in the options:

Esc > Interface > Names

Then untick "Personal Resource Display."

This assumes you're using the standard UI, if you're using any UI or AddOn packs you may need to search through the respective settings.
