Recommended realms
Normal/PvE: Kul Tiras, Chamber of Aspects
PvP: Vek'nilash, Dentarg, Xavius
RP: The Sha'tar
RP PvP: The Venture Co.

Free Character Migration (FCM)
The below FCM is available from July 1-7. All migrations are faction restricted to improve ratios on involved realms, thus your faction is currently the less populated one on the destination realm.

Alliance only
From: Burning Legion, Grim Batol, Ravencrest, Sylvanas and Silvermoon (PvE)
To: Magtheridon and Vek'nilash

Horde only
From: Al'Akir, Kazzak, Magtheridon and Stormscale
To: Burning Blade, Neptulon, Tarren Mill and Trollbane

Please note: FCM is opened based on realm population tracking and analysis, not by request. If you're looking for a specific migration (from realm A to realm B), you are in most cases better off using Paid Character Transfer, or you could end up waiting for a very long time.

No, we have not said that. Please look up the post again and observe that at no point were the population tags "medium" or "high" mentioned (though the word "high" was used for population level this was not referring to the realm selection screen or realm status page tags).

And as a general note, trying to turn an official information thread into a /sign or petition thread is not appreciated. Please refrain from such.

This is a discussion forum. Petition threads do not contain much discussion – instead, a petition is usually page after page of “/signed.” This is not constructive. If you have an issue with the game, please discuss it in a civil fashion. There are other places on the internet to form online petitions.

So arguments and discussion, not "/sign". ;)
