I’d like to address some of the main issues with Russian WoW servers. I’ve tried to post the same petition on a local support forum, but all the attention I’ve got was just a 72 hrs. ban, without any response. So, I’d really like to get some attention from the HQ community managers, and it seems like this is the best way.
Some time ago Russia received several local servers. First of all, I’d like to say that I really appreciate all the work you’ve done translating all the stuff. That’s really amazing, even with enormous amount of bugs and errors, which are still present. Anyway, when we got our own servers with simple payment methods and better network connectivity – of course most of Russian players transferred there. But, in all that hype, it looks as though we lost some important stuff.
1) We don’t have any access to the PTR. Therefore we can’t prepare for upcoming changes in any way (which makes PvE competition just a joke for us). Neither can we participate in beta–testing.
2) We’re not informed about critical errors or policy decisions. Just as an example we could mention the ban wave for using the “Leviathan bug”. Of course, those who exploited that bug should be punished, hands down. But local support started some kind of witch–hunt, banning everyone and everything. And, come on, permaban for anyone in the raid, if the raid leader was a moron? Really, this is a team–oriented game and you suggest quitting a guild if you don’t agree with some particular tactics on one encounter in whole game? At least give us a short notice on a logon screen “this and that are considered bugs, we can’t fix that any time soon, so just don’t do that or get a ban”, after all, everything that can be done IS part of the game which we’re paying our subscription for.
3) We still don’t have ONE RPPvP server.
4) And the main thing: even if you want to transfer from those servers you just CAN’T! Why I can transfer FROM the EU, but I can’t return? That just doesn’t make any sense! You want to control that? OK, set up some limits, make it $50, $100, whatever, but give us some way to really choose that realm we want to play on! I assure you, no 13y.o. aggressive kid will use that feature, but some world–class players are feeling themselves just crippled and mistreated here.
P.S. and give us some new art for druids in travel/moonkin/tree shapes already!!
