3.2 and Class Q&A timescales

So been a few days since the Shaman Q&A was revealed.

The shaman Q&A still leaves a lot to be desired and will be having more feedback no doubt.

But unfortunately at this rate, we will be seeing 1 Q&A each week, so its gonna be at least 9 more weeks till 3.2 is on the PTR, where it will be for a good long while as we have already been told.

So its going to go live in about 4 months, if we are lucky!!!

What did vailla get up to was it 1.13 or something like that, BC went to 2.4.

I dont exactly think its acceptable to do 1 patch every 6 months, not when you used to give us 3 times as many. The samll patches are bug fixes and balance adjustments, never new content.

Currently we keep getting fed tidbits to keep us happy, all the time with no timescales given.

Now for a player like myself who couldnt give a rats about raiding or arena, thats going to be about 12 months after WOTLK came out that ill next be able to see any new content (new BG and new 5 man).

I love this game, always have and I have been playing since day 1 euro release, but right now it feels very much like im being milked for my money, I want a game not just a glorified chat program that I log on to to chat to friends.

1 patch every 6 months is an utter mickey take when you are claiming a sub of each of your 11 million players each and every month.

Its such a ptty that no other game has come along and seriously challenged wow to its sub base, as right now the company is trading on past glories and you need a very serious kick up the ass.

Wow that was far more ranty than I expected it to be.

Anyways, get a bloody move on with the Q&A results or my timescales of doom will prove true.

You're unfortunately extrapolating an incorrect result based on a guess; I don't believe we've made any comment along the lines of "we're holding back 3.2 until all the Class Q&A is posted."

On the subject of Class Q&A, it takes time. A lot of time. Even without thinking about translating each Q&A to something in the area of 7-10 different languages, there's still a lot of time and preparation needed to make them ready to go live. So I'm sorry but you'll need to be patient for those a little longer. We're very keen to get them live though, so believe me we are making a concerted effort to do so as soon as we are able.

Q u o t e:
Does this involved dangling Ghostcrawler over a cooking pot of boiling water and yelling "type faster or I let go"?
The bigger the claws, the juicier the Crawler Meat!

Seriously though, a lot of people are involved in creating this, not just one designer.

Q u o t e:
Translating a post the size of the shaman Q&A is a trivial matter, even in 7-10 languages, so please dont mention that if you want credibility in the community, we are not that innocent ;)
You're of course welcome to doubt, but I reiterate that the translation is not as speedy as you assume. Those translating it are already very busy with text for other games we are working on, and of course for future patches for WoW. If there was nothing else to do, sure in theory it would be a lot faster process. I'm not in any way trying to do anything but be direct and up front about this.

I do apreciate the Q&A iniciative, but especialy in my case (holy / ret paladin), the anticipation is realy killing me as the devs already hinted a lot that they have a lot of changes for us in the close future and already admited things are not as "smooth" with the community as they should.

I would ask to put the paladins in front of the other classes but i wont cause i'll just get extreme abuse, but in the special case of the paladins even GC admited you guys need to come up with a lot of explanations...
We completely understand and empathise with your great anticipation. After the changes Paladins have experienced over the years, I am certain any hint of further change brings both the possibility of perceived good or bad outcomes. As Ghostcrawler has said himself, we have news for Paladins coming, and that is not at all subject to the same schedule as the Q&A. So though we cannot promise any change in the timing of the Paladin Q&A, yes there is further Paladin specific news coming soon.
