Getting saved while the instance is cleared.

Hey guys,

Yesterday, I joined a 10 man raid to Naxx. It was a pug group I don't need anything and its bored but I wanted to help out a guildy killing KT

So it was a Pug raid, that cleared anything except KT.

While people entered the instance and ofcourse got the message: You get saved into this instance in X sec. But suddenly when they arrived they found out that KT was already dead.

So the situation was that a other member of the first Pug raid group made already another raid (same Instance ID) and killed KT. So people got saved into the instance while KT was already dead and got saved into that instance without killing any boss :)

However I made a /care face, but alot of people start flaming the raidleader for being saved for nothing. The raidleader thought KT was still alive, and also he couldnt see if KT was already killed. When I left the group the raidleader whispered me his apology, so I kinda feel bad because he was actually the reason people got saved and wasted there time. Also the raidleader stated that this also wasted his time, and felt really bad of all the people got saved for nothing and wasted there time.

I know people start saying: "dont join pug groups" etc. But thats not the point of this. The instance is easily puggable, but there is nothing ingame to check which bosses are dead etc.

Just my 2 cents.

That is unfortunate news indeed. Though it comes as no comfort for this situation, we have made a change to this mechanic to prevent this kind of thing occuring. We are currently testing this on the PTR right now:

"Players can no longer become saved to a raid instance when they aren't in the raid during a boss kill. "
