Maybe its just me who cant find a similar topic, but i havent seen a thread about why people raid yet so i decided to make one.

Im curious to know what makes you spent hour after hour raiding the endgame instaces?
I guess the motivation is different from person to person. Some is doing it to get the newest epics, some does it to beat the new bosses, and some even enjoy spending lots of time wiping and learning until you can get that thrilling "first guild kill".
guess there are several other resons why people raid and therefore i have made this thread, to find out why people raid.

For me the motivation is the progress with my guild mostly. I dont mind wiping time after time. Aslong as there are progress, and the raid learns something, its all good for me. Some of the best raids i have attended, has been at new bosses we didnt kill, but instead learned much about, and managed to improve alot against it. "first kills" together with your guild is also the most thrilling in raids imo.

I have seen/heard about several people that leaves their old guild to join a better guild or even a guild that have cleared all the instances. I have allways wondered where the fun part is then. Basically it will just be a week long grind on the bosses that allready are on farm status. Sure it will be funny to see and beat the bosses, but for me it would take alot of the thrill away of the kill, as i know i havent been a part of that group, that have learned how to beat it in the first place.

Anyway the question is: Why do YOU raid?

The thread was born, lived, and then it died.
From out the coffin the corpse should not be pried.
Also beyond are those at the funeral who cried.
They too are buried right by its side.
