Claims of legal characters really have no place on the forums. If you feel there are errors in Blizzard Entertainment's legal reasoning, analysis or documents, please contact us directly through proper legal channels with proper legal documentation. "I saw this interview" or "I haven't seen such a law" is simply not good enough.
As some have already said on this topic, we have absolutely no wish to limit the eligibility of participants in Recruit a Friend or similar initiatives, nor in our contests, any more than required to stay on the safe side of laws and regulations. Claims to the contrary are understandable due to frustration of not being able to participate, but I'm sure you'll see that such claims are quite illogical and thus rather unfair.
I'll add that I have been shown one link to a related statement from a Danish official, which was given without showing the questions asked (hence making it hard to discern what was responded to) and also with reference to Activision Blizzard (which is not the same as Blizzard Entertainment - which is rather significant in legal considerations). If this is the link being referred to, I'm afraid it didn't enlighten the issue very much.
Please rest assured that we continually work to include as many as possible in both offers and contests, but that this is also not an area where "but we
want to be included" is helping anybody in any way.
