Dual spec=serious disadvantage for mana-use

If you bought dual spec and are a mana-user, you will notice that it costs you a full mana bar to switch between specs.

a) Why?

b) What does it cost a non-mana class such as Warriors, Rogues or DKs? I assume they lose all Rage/Energy/Runic, but how is this remotely comparible to a caster losing all his mana? Especially with the recent mana regen nerf compounding the issue.

Dual Spec offers no disadvantage to any mana user. It is not intended to be used as flippantly as you might hope for. For example, take a feral druid clears an area of mobs, only to pop to resto spec then heal up and pop back to feral again, is not the purpose of Dual Spec. Dual Spec is there for when you're struggling with an encounter and could use one less healer and one more DPS. It has plenty of other intended applications also, none of which are hampered by the mana loss. The only applications hampered by the mana loss are those we wanted to avoid benefiting from the feature. =)

We're not saying it will always be this way and it could change in future, but for now the system works as we hoped, and cannot realistically be used in a way that undermines or bypasses our intentions.
