Gold instead of XP at lvl 70

Hi,

At maximum lvl we gain gold instead of XP right. We all know that. But... what if I reach lvl 70 and not buy WotLK. In that case 70 would be the maximum lvl for me. Would I get gold instead of XP or not?
Does anyone know this? Thanks!

As far as I am aware you get the gold you would've earned for doing the quest and gain no bonus gold for not earning XP.
