Responses to a Spectral Tiger/Rare Mounts

I've recently earnt myself a Spectral Tiger mount through my involvement in the WoW Trading Card Game, and I'm just interested in what people's response has been, and continues to be, when they see one.

1) Most people simply want to know where it came from. It gets a little tiring and I'll probably macro up a standard response for future, but I don't mind explaining at all.
2) A number of people offer a compliment, and that suggests they know it's source and simply give a nod that it's a nice thing to have.
3) A few people are openly hostile and aggressive towards me and the fact I've got a Spectral Tiger. "WTF are you collecting trading cards for, you loser! Get a life!"

I guess I should have expected there to be a proportion of 'haters' out there - this is the interwebs, after all - but I just wasn't prepared for it. When I see somebody on a mount that took a lot of grinding rep or raiding to get, my instinct is that they worked hard for it, and it seems to be the response of most players. And yet if you spend a similar amount of time playing the TCG instead of raiding/PVPing it doesn't seem to be accepted by certain players.

I'm probably in the wrong place to ask about this - but if you saw a player on a Spectral Tiger how would you react? And if you've got a rare or hard to get mount of your own, how do people respond to you when you're on it? Do you get the haters the same way I seem to be doing?

Envy does terrible things to people :-(

I would suggest you simply ignore the people who approach you in that manner, and also report them to the game masters if they are abusive.
