WotLK Raids too easy?

I understand that doing the 3 Drake thing and getting the 'The Undying' Achievements take a little skill/preperation, but come on Blizz, so far the 80 raids are obviously FAR too easy. It took weeks on any server before people were pugging Naxx/EoE raids.
I don't care that it means non-guilded slackers can get Epics, that's been the case pretty much since 2.4.
But give the guilds some sense of progression! My connection has been awful pretty much since the original expansion, but seeing people pugging 25 man Naxx is just ridiculous. Seeing someone trying to PuG The Eye or SSC was almost ridiculous back in the day.
I've played WoW since BWL opened, and it's plain to see how easy you've made the game. I understand some of the steps, but hell, make the raids a challenge.
There was a lovely moment in the game where being prepared for a raid meant having consumables, being absolutely prepared with tactics and having at least a little clue about how to play.
These days it seems anybody that's grinded enough badges, managed to increase their DPS past 1/3 what it should be, can participate and sucessfuly kill any existing boss in the game.
What happened to your guild making the Onyxia Scale Cloak? Or everyone knowing they have pretty much a critical place to play in the Hakkar fight?
I won't go into how sick it makes me that "epic" items are so easily available these days, but please at least make Ulduar a real raid instance, other than some throwaway doable pickup that anyone called "holyhealer" or "frostknight" can call up a PuG for after a week or two.

I get the idea of achievements and everything, but from my raiding days, the biggest achievement was downing the boss. I never raided Naxx 60, but from friends that have i'm pretty certain it was a MUCH bigger achievement than getting some title for doing it without dying.
