As of patch 3.1, the Plagued and Black Proto-Drake will no longer be obtainable. They were previously earned by completing the Glory of the Raider achievements.
To me, this is an absolutely ridiculous change, it punishes the 10 Man guild structure, while basically admitting that the only way you are able to earn these achievements is by being a part of 25 man Guild.
It's evident that certain 10 Man achievements almost -require- 25 Man equivalent gear. OS 3D 10 man is a fine example of this, as it is much more difficult than it's 25 man equivalent.
The argument that Blizzard have used, that Ulduar gear with "trivialize" the achievements is ridiculous. The item quality will be a similar jump to that of ZA > Sunwell, yet the Amani War Bear was not removed until the patch before WotLK launch.
The 10 man achievements are trivialized as is, by 25 man gear, according to ilevels. So why on earth were they put in the first place?
