In the ptr patch notes for 3.1 I found that maim is now becomming a stun, aswell as the savage roar being changed from 40% ap to 30% physical damage done.

I'm just curious as to why they feel it justified to nerf feraldruid pvp, maim especially in mind, while giving the classes with the highest arena representation buffs (survival hunters in mind)?

I am utterly against the change to maim as it simply ruins the feral synergy with every other classes, aswell as turning them into a lesser version of rogues.

And if you do have to make maim a stun, could you atleast give us it off DR with pounce, so that it isn't utterly useless?

This change can be considered a nerf or a buff depending on the situation.

In the Arenas you will find this to be more of a nerf than anything. As CC is such a important aspect of PvP it has to be treated with great care from our perspective. There is nothing skilled about simply locking a player out of a match by completely burning them down when they're almost always powerless to do anything it. They can only hope that a miracle occurs in that they do not die before they can move once more, or that they're alive long enough for a team mate to pull a rabbit out of a hat.

As for the more independent druid, or the battleground lovers, this change is mainly a positive one.
