Realm forum picture threads

In the last 1/2 weeks I start to notice Blizzard locks realm picture threads or even deletes those without any statement why it's done. Are these threads against Blizzard's policy nowadays?

Just wondering so I won't bother creating a new one if it isn't allowed.

Yes and No. It is not exactly against the rules to post such thread, but picture threads have an unfortunate tendency to lead to drama, flaming, harassment and other forms of abuse, and this can easily be avoided if there were no such threads in the first place.

We have not exactly forbidden real life picture threads, but such threads will be removed if we receive reports of harassment or other types of unwanted attention as a result of someone posting their picture. We will also remove such threads if we receive complaints from people who have had their pictures posted without permission.
