Blizzard Post
Again I know this post is going to get locked but I frequently use the "Blue Tracker" feature of one of the most popular WoW fansites and almost every post on the american forums titled "@ GC" or anything else similar with Ghostcrawlers name, abbreviation or whatever. They all get a reply...

In europe we get a lock... Why? Save me the breaking the rules line, I know this is against the rules. My point is this, the rules are the same in america, yet they get a reply and we get a lock. Is there a reason as to why some sort of double standards seem to be being applied?

Blizzard Post
It is quite simple really. We have forum rules, and we moderate the forums according to those rules. If someone decides to violate said rules, then we take action.

The following rules were the ones that were disregarded in this case:

  • Using the words “Blizzard,” “Blue,” or any community team member’s name in a thread topic is frowned on

Everyone would like Blizzard to read and acknowledge his or her post, and we understand that. However, use of such words in the topic does not help that come to pass. Please make your thread title relevant to the post subject.

  • Do not post about (or re-post) locked or deleted threads

Posts that are locked or deleted have a reason behind the moderation. We generally lock before we post on a locked thread to stop the violation in question as soon as possible, so if you have yet to see a comment by a member of the community team on a locked thread, please wait for it and do not post on the subject. In some cases the moderator may consider the reason obvious enough to not need explaining, or simply not wish to bring the post back to the top of the forums.

Please read and comprehend the forum rules before posting on these forums again:http://forums.wow-europe.com/thread.html?topicId=10701098&sid=1

Thank you.
