Don't know if this has been said before, but I think it's a pretty significant so anyways it's worth mentioning again.
How come Alliance always gets to attack first in Strand?

Imagine you have a really good group and going for Strand as Alliance, imagine it will take you 3 minutes to reach the core, then 3 more minutes to wait for Horde to attack you and fail miserably since they have only 3 minutes to try. At a total of 6 minutes Alliance wins the battleground.

Then imagine you are Horde and have a just as good group, you have to wait for 10 minutes because Alliance wont get to your core in time and then, when it's Horde's time to attack you get to the core in the same 3 minutes. That's 13 minutes for Horde.

Alliance premade wins in 6 minutes
Horde premade wins in 13 minutes

How is this fair when both teams are equally good? And this does not just count for premades, Horde will always be at an disadvantage because of this. So please make it random who starts in Strand of the Ancients. Have a good day!

Actually SOTA originally did start with the factions randomly attacking or defending. But there were issues with it; it wasn't quite as cut and clear as it seems in theory. It turned out it worked out a lot better if Horde were always starting in defense. So the way it is now was a somewhat temporary fix to that issue. If it's really not working out so well, of course we'll be looking into reinstating the random start.
