BM hunters will go through the biggest dps drop, since they dps the most. MM should be affected a bit, survival always sucked anyway. Hunter PVE is no longer the hunter's niche, i give the most relevant changes:
-Steady Shot – now only gains 10% of attack power as damage (down from 20%).
-Volley – reduced the damage by about 30% for all ranks
-Readiness – no longer affects the cooldown of Bestial Wrath.
(BM)-Kindrid Spirits – now only grants 3/6/9/12/15% pet damage.
(BM)-Serpent’s Swiftness – now only grants 2/4/6/8/10% bonus attack speed to pet.
(BM)-Call of the Wild – now benefits only the hunter and his or her pet. not realy BM specific, but still.
(BM)-Rake and Scorpid Poison – slightly nerfed to bring them into line with other pet abilities. same remark.
To sum up, this is what I call a big nerf in sustained DPS. Will it be enough? You'll have time to "enjoy" those changes on the PTR.
Now I'm not gonna say the changes were not needed. I guess we all know that hunters, certainly BM hunter DPS was OMFG high. And when I say OMFG high, it means that other classes didn't even had to try: BM was going to be 1st.
What's sad is that the fix is IMO not the right one. This will nerf BM hunters in solo play, and not a bit.
I guess the first thing they should have fixed, is the way in which BM benefit from buffs.
Yes from buffs: hunters get buffed twice, in fact they get buffed more than twice! (with master to pet synergy).
With patch 3.0, buffs are raid wide, so a class like a BM hunters that benefits more than twice from the buffs, is of course better than a rogue who is buffed once (aha silly rogue :p).
Great so BM is rightfully nerfed, other speccs nerfed a bit too, OK PVE DPS was too high, nerf bat. nothing impressive.
but, BUT...
PVP, I said it, they said it too, and I guess Blizz will have only ONE SHOT to make hunters in par with other classes in S5, ONE SHOT.

Let's hope that PVE nerf, will be the day the hunter mechanics will be remade to allow us to do something else than drain+cc and still be dead last (hint: DPS would be great gameplay, was nerfed a bit here ><).
Note: And It would be convinient if hunters were good by their own, I mean don't fix the hunter class through druid melee controll, thanks...
I guess everyone understands why I didn't even bother leveling my hunter.
This PVE nerf was something expected for everyone with half a brain.
They tried to not affect PVP, but with a nerf of this magnitude, it's not possible.
Well, except if after the nerf we're still no 1 from far in PVE, and if hunter chore mechanics are not completely reworked, it's going to be a pain to play a hunter. RIP to those that bothered level to 80, I feel the pain, certainly if you did PVP during 2 years of TBC too.
This is the one moment to make hunters on par with other classes in PVP. I guess that after two years of design fail, this will be the good moment to redesign the class for PVP play.
Good luck blizz, the job will be enormous :o. But it is even more necessary than a PVE nerf.
