Can we have a game designer at EU forums?

Hello all,

since WotLK beta (I hadn't participated, just setting the time frame here) a game designer appeared at US forums. Yes, I mean ... Ghostcrawler. I was following all his posts and in my opinion it was a really great move for a game designer having direct contact with the people that play the game.

The thing is that since then, our forums here in EU are severely "nerfed". We have great CMs here but after the appearance of a game designer in US forums, the impression I get is that it is more obvious than ever that feedback is taken into account only at these forums.

We have many players that can give so good feedback and -without wanting to compare cultures- our forums might be a bit more civilized even (please do not comment on this. this is not the core of my thread).

So, how would be possible for GC or another game designer being here in order to get opinions, listen and interact with EU players?

I know that blues might answer that they keep notes of our feedback, requests etc and forward to the appropriate people but please try to understand that it's a great difference between having a representative and having THE guy(s) here to interact with.

P.S. This post is not intended or implying anything against our CMs here. I do think they are great.

We appreciate that you're wanting a developer to post over here in the EU forums. If a developer did post here though, it wouldn't be the first time. Who can say what may happen in the future.

What concerns me though, is comments about EU players not being able to provide feedback. You do make great feedback, and we do see that. Not having a developer respond or interact in those great threads doesn't mean that the feedback isn't seen or noted. I know the OP is saying that there is a difference between this and interacting with a developer, though.

Another thing of note is that just because Ghostcrawler is currently the most actively posting developer, doesn't mean that other developers don't read the forums too -- they definitely do. Also, Ghostcrawler is just one person in a team of designers; each has input into the design and so it is wrong to think he is the only one coming up with ideas and solutions, even if he is the most talkative at the moment. He is sharing the thoughts and ideas of a team and not only posting his own.

Please continue to provide feedback and state your opinion on gameplay and proposed changes -- we are not ignoring you. And yes, before it's mentioned, we know that some would like us to at least blue tag useful feedback threads a bit more.
