Q u o t e:
Hi
I love to play without guild, because I don't like to bind my self, and PUG'ing is fine by me. Anyone is playing the same way, and planning to do so as well in WotLK?
I know quite a few people who play like this, so you are most certainly not alone :-)
There is nothing wrong with taking the lone wolf approach to the game, in fact there can be plenty of reasons for playing like that, some of which I will list below:
- There are people who prefer to play alone and enjoy doing things in their own pace. Being in a guild often comes with expectations and commitments of some sort, and some people simply prefer to be without all that.
- Then there are those who prefer the single player approach to games, and never really saw a point in social bonds with people that they never even met in real life.
- Some people play very casually, and often have busy lives preventing them from knowing exactly when they will have time for the next gaming session. People in this situation will usually not be able to adhere to raid schedules or guild events and such that many guilds require their members to follow.
- Then we have the people who have had bad experiences with guilds in their past, and as such don't feel confident in trusting and relying on other players so much.
- And of course there are those people who have become so unpopular and distrusted, that they have no choice but to play alone. People in this situation often chose to put themselves in that position, because they enjoy the villain role and being known as the bad boy of the realm.
I am sure more can be added to this list, so by all means feel free to do that if you can think of anything :-)
