In order to try and prevent more flooding of "FFS NERF RET" threads, here's a small informative guide about the upcoming nerfs to Retribution paladins:

Divine Storm (the 10 sec cd aoe of doom) moved from holy to physical damage - essentially damage is cut from anything between 50 and 30%, depending on your armor value. This change is live now.

Art of War used to increase critical strike damage by 20% for Divine Storm, Crusader Strike and Judgements - this will be changed to a flat 8% damage increase on crit and noncrit damage. Change will be uploaded before 13 Nov.

Righteous Vengeance used to add 25% extra critical damage to Divine Storm and Judgement. It will be removed and turned into a 40% dot (ticking for 10% every 2 seconds for 8 seconds, similar to Deep Wounds). Live before Nov 13.

Glyph of Crusader Strike won't add damage on stunned targets anymore. Live before nov 13.

Repentance now "blinds" you for 6 seconds instead of 10. Live now.

**UPDATED**

Recap version:

- Divine Storm base damage up 8%, but no longer armor ignoring, so reduced by you % mitigation from armor. (LIVE)

- Divine Storm and Judgement critical damage down 45% Upcoming

- Crusader Strike critical damage down 20%. Upcoming

- CS and Judgement base damage up 10%. Upcoming

- Deep Wound effect for paladin Judgements and DS crits. Upcoming

- Repentance duration down to 6 seconds (LIVE)

- Avenging Wrath triggers Forebearance again (not usable with Divine Shield anymore) (LIVE)

- Judgement of the Wise down to 15% (from 33%) (LIVE)

- Seal of Command, Judgement of Command damage down 20% (LIVE)

- Seal of Blood, Judgement of Blood damage down 5% (LIVE)

- Pvp set bonus changed, loss of 10 second reduction on Hammer of Justice (LIVE)

- Hammer of Wrath no longer usable under 35% (back to 20%) Upcoming

- Judgement of Wisdom procc chance cut 50%, mana regeneration down to 1% (from 2%) Upcoming

**Undocumented Change**

- Sanctified Wrath: the 50% immunity bypass effect while using Avenging Wrath is apparently removed. (LIVE)

Keep these changes in mind before opening more retribution complaints, thanks.

Slorkuz, I would honestly suggest you to blue tag this to prevent this constant spamm of ret paladin threads - it's gonna get worse and worse, and letting people know that nerfs are incoming could maybe calm down the situation a bit and allow the forums to discuss other things than retribution.

We are all for constructive discussion, number crunching and theory crafting. If you feel this warrants a tag, consider it done. Here's a challenge; Lets see you guys figure out all the effective numbers and formulas for all of this.

Slorkuz, I'll take your suggestion and give you an overview of what makes a paladin "OP", with some number crunching, from a ret paladin perspective.

This type of posts, with some constructive thought and numbers put into it, is exactly the type of posts we had in mind when blue-tagging this thread earlier. It certainly makes reading and gathering constructive community feedback much more of an enjoyable and informative experience.

Hopefully more people will pick up on this posting style and avoid the 'nerf X' spam threads that no-one really enjoys having a forum cluttered up with.
