Yes you guessed it, im talking about elitists, the scourge of the pvp forums, a deterrant for normal players who just wanna discuss things or blow off some steam without being verbally bullied by some guy so enamoured with his sense of self importance he can't see he is being both cruel and excessively rude to someone who probably isn't even over 15 years of age.
I can see blizzard are doing a superb job of cleaning up these scum on our forums, but they dont have eyes and ears in the back of their heads so they need help from us, the regular forum posters.
So i motion for everyone to 'report the elitist!', whenever they see one giving some poor guy misery. Noone deserves to be verbally bullied, people dont realise the hurt their comments bring to certain people, i know a friend of mine who is not even 13 who was very upset by a certain restoration druid who said 'YOU FAIL IRL', 'YOU FAIL', 'YOU SUCK', repeatedly in all his posts, my friend feels now like he constantly has to prove a point to people and he is ashamed of himself for not being top notch at a computer game, what is this?
I understand this is normal human behaviour, and my friend could perhaps be more thick skinned, but regrettably he doesn;t know any better, all he sees is some cruel person telling him he has no right to have an opinion, he 'fails', he 'cant even break 1500' etc etc etc.
I appreciate this forum will never be 'lala lets all make daisy chains', but i think considerable efforts could be made to alienate these cruel vermin from our forums, and maintain a slightly more peaceful and friendly environment.
So i urge you all next time you see one, report that elitist, you could save a lot of kids a lot of grief, we aren't all old and wise enough to be able to deal with this vile verbal bullying that people are dishing out on these forums, i dont think people realise how upsetting they can be.
I wanted to turn this into an epic massive post, but i think anyone with half a brain realises the hurt these elitists bring onto our forums, at the end of the day, its bullying, no matter how you look at it, regardless of this being a computer game or whatnot, the effects on people are still very real, and there is simply no need for behaviour like this to be tolerated.
