I was reading this article ( http://www.wowinsider.com/2008/10/12/planning-for-the-hallows-end-title/ ) and it was over whelming how many parts of it was purely luck based.

Q u o t e:
A Mask for All Occasions
Collect the 20 unique Flimsy Masks listed below.
Criteria
Flimsy Female Blood Elf Mask
Flimsy Female Draenei Mask
Flimsy Female Dwarf Mask
Flimsy Female Gnome Mask
Flimsy Female Human Mask
Flimsy Female Nightelf Mask
Flimsy Female Orc Mask
Flimsy Female Tauren Mask
Flimsy Female Troll Mask
Flimsy Female Undead Mask
Flimsy Male Blood Elf Mask
Flimsy Male Draenei Mask
Flimsy Male Dwarf Mask
Flimsy Male Gnome Mask
Flimsy Male Human Mask
Flimsy Male Nightelf Mask
Flimsy Male Orc Mask
Flimsy Male Tauren Mask
Flimsy Male Troll Mask
Flimsy Male Undead Mask

At first I was like wow, that going to be very hard (I'm an unlucky guy as I'm sure many of you are) and then I scrolled down a bit more to finish off the article.
Q u o t e:

Sinister Calling
Obtain a Sinister Squashling pet and Hallowed Helm.
Criteria
Sinister Squashling
Hallowed Helm

So I have to get a 2% drop pet and a 9% drop helm? whilst only having 5 summons a day? that's ridiculous! its already going to require more luck then Houdini to get all those masks!

I think the "Sinister Calling" part of the achievement should be removed from the requirement for the hallowed title, or make the helm part of completing the quest (the first time) to kill the headless horsemen and the pet to be a reward for completing the other parts of this achievement.

Achievements are meant to be fun, theirs nothing fun about farming an instance like crazy for the entire event and getting nowhere.

Achievements simply record what you've achieved. Some require little effort, some require a lot of effort, but yes some others simply record moments of good luck. They are not a replacement for quests, and it seems thinking of them as quests can lead to some frustration. If you choose to treat them like quests, then yes you may be disappointed if you're trying to achieve something that has a low probability of occurring. If we intended for the benefits of Achievements to be accomplished by everyone who puts in the effort and not dependent on luck, we would have made them quests instead.
