Welcome to the Mists of Pandaria Classic Escalation public test realm (PTR).

The Escalation content will be an unlock in 5.5.3, the current patch for MoP Classic.

This content will include the Escalation campaign, Battlefield Barrens world event, the next chapter of the Legendary questline, new Brawler’s Guild bosses, new scenarios, and heroic scenarios.

Please note that some of these features are not available for test yet (e.g. Item Upgrades), and will be added to the PTR over the next few weeks.

Available Features

Quest Campaign: Escalation

The Darkspear Trolls are in open rebellion against the Warchief. Aid your faction in preparing to drive Garrosh Hellscream from Orgrimmar.

Alliance heroes will scout Orgrimmar’s outskirts and engage in SI:7 espionage to weaken Garrosh’s power structure.
Horde heroes will help Vol’jin’s insurgency survive a Kor’kron assault and advance towards the Horde capital.
To begin this questline:
- You should be given the quest “War is Coming” when you enter Vale of Eternal Blossoms. From there, report to Lorewalker Cho in the Seat of Knowledge (balcony over Mogu’shan Palace).

Battlefield: Barrens
Join in the rebellion against Garrosh Hellscream and put the stranglehold on Orgrimmar by undermining the Kor’kron supply chain in Northern Barrens.

Earn resources to donate to the Darkspear Rebellion in return for gear, toys, a pet, or to unlock a new Brawler’s Guild boss.
Resources can be earned by:
- Killing Kor’kron loyalists and their supporters.
- Getting a group together and killing Kor’kron leaders.
- Escorting your faction’s caravans across the zone and protecting them from being overrun by Kor’Kron Raiders.

Legendary Quest Campaign

Journey with Wrathion to the four corners of Pandaria to speak with the August Celestials. He will reward you for your efforts with a level 600 cloak with a prismatic socket.

Brawler’s Guild

Test your skills and show off your encounter expertise against 2 new ranks of bosses.

Rank 8 and 9 bosses have appeared in the Guild, and are ready to give players a new challenge.
New System: Challenge Cards
- Players can now purchase Challenge Cards from Card Trader Ami or Card Trader Leila to gain access to additional encounters.
- Challenge cards can be acquired through two ways:
  - Beating a boss in the Brawler’s Guild unlocks a more difficult version of that encounter.
  - Performing certain actions or finding items in the world can unlock new bosses.
To join the Brawler’s Guild:
- Go to Flaskataur in one of the major cities.
- Purchase a Blood-Soaked Invitation.
- Horde: Go to the Brawl’gar Arena in the northern part of Valley of Honor in Orgrimmar.
- Alliance: Go to Bizmo’s Brawlpub in the bottom floor of the Deeprun Tram in Stormwind. (Take the ramp to the left of the entrance.)
- Interact with a Bouncer and choose the option “Yes, sign me up for a fight!”
Note: The Blood-Soaked Invitation is easily accessible to help with testing in the Beta. Once patch 5.5.1 is live, it will be available via Black Market Auction House and specific rare mobs in Krasarang Wilds.

New Scenarios

There are four new scenarios.

Available to both factions: Blood in the Snow, Dark Heart of Pandaria, The Secrets of Ragefire, Battle on the High Seas
You can queue for these new scenarios through the Scenarios section of the Group Finder.
- Additionally, Blood in the Snow and Dark Heart of Pandaria are part of the Alliance and Horde Escalation Campaign.

Heroic Scenarios

Heroic difficulty versions of Scenarios have been added and are designed to provide challenging content for small groups of well-seasoned adventurers. Completing a Heroic Scenario awards Valor and a chance to obtain high level Epic quality items.
Heroic scenarios require a pre-made group to join.
Heroic scenarios offer bonus objectives that will reward additional Valor if completed.
- An option to run a random heroic scenario has been added as a drop-down in the scenario tab in Dungeon Finder.
Players can complete a normal or heroic scenario for bonus Valor each day, but not both.
Six heroic scenarios will be available in Escalation. Four are new and two are upgrades of existing normal scenarios.
