Is buying/selling accounts on eBay "illegal?"

hey guys,

Postin gon an alt as no doubt some people will assume im planning to do this. It is however a question as I have evidence ranging form the eBay messages to the paypal confirmation of a certain account that i know has been bought off ebay. these were all obtained legally and i have emailed blizz about this and still have recieved no response.

Im wondering if this buying selling is actually against policy or am i trying in vein to report this account? I have recieved no response from Blizz when i offered to forward them the screenshots etc and just owndered if this is because buying an selling isnt actually against policy?

It's not allowed according to the agreements you agree to when you play WoW. If and when we find out an account was bought, it gets closed down, permanently, no appeal.
Do you really want to put time and effort into something you might lose over night?

On my server i can point you to 1-2 characters that were for sure bought from a third party, and have done so a number of times.

But.. those characters are still happily playing.
