06/08 World of Warcraft Released in Russian

We are delighted to announce the release of World of Warcraft and World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade in Russian, available today. As well as being able to experience the worlds of Azeroth and Outland in Russian, players now also have access to full Russian language support and a range of payment options in roubles.

Two new Russian language realms have been opened today for new character creation only.

We extend a warm welcome to all our current and future Russian speaking players, and hope that they will now enjoy World of Warcraft even more.

Sure it is a necroed thread but it sounds to me that there are some legitimate questions here. I apologise that there has not been a response given here from us, this may be because the question was already answered on the RU forums instead and our position is the same irrespective of forum language.

There are technical restrictions that prevent English clients from working with the RU servers, and we have already communicated this in the RU forums.
