"All you have to do to get noticed is post your suggestion in a constructive manner.

Simply because we do not reply to your particular thread giving you a pat on the back for achieving this does not mean we are overlooking your perfectly valid suggestions.

This thread however, has deteriorated into a petition thread and has therefore been noticed in the non-constructive way. "

quoting you on this thread

If i may ask, when you said we started in constructive matter, why not reply then ? or whoever (blue)?
You had to come and just simply lock us giving usual trash answer ....guess what your moderating services are kinda bad ..to put it mildly
Ye ye we know you're all human and usual bs all over again about what you have to do at your work but to set us aside just because some ppl poped in and did /signed is just simply crap.

a simple YES and NO would suffice to give us a clue what we're up against, but nooooooooo blah blah blah be constructive

Show me one post where you're saying "we're aware of your problem and we're gonna adress that in future" not counting bug fixes and game stuff

"constructive" is such a worn word its hillarious ......when you give 0 feedback just say you're clueless about our situation and post us someone who would know anything like that or say I DON'T KNOW

so far you fail
ty for reading...not expecting a reply anyways, more a ban tbh

As I am sure you are already aware, the balance of total population and Horde/Alliance ratio is something that we monitor closely and take action on when it is necessary (you can see our history of free migrations as proof).

The thread you a referring to, behind all the numbers and so-called justification, is simply asking for a migration to be opened.

Ok, I get that. I see that and I understand it. You want a migration to be opened.

I can’t do that for you.

If I had said that and left the thread open, people would see that the thread had been ‘blue-tagged’ and would be more inclined to read and reply to it. This would have opened the door to much flaming about ‘why’ and ‘but we need it!’.

…and let’s just live a dream world for a minute. Say I did have the power to open a migration and I decided to do it for you. Then why not every other realm that feels they have been poorly treated or have a poor ratio? That’s another lengthy debate full of flaming and arguing.

You’ll have to forgive me for trying to make my own life a little bit easier in my first week in a new job. I’ll try to be more accommodating in the future.

Also, you quoted what I said when I locked that thread but it appears you didn’t read it:
Just because we do not reply to every single thread, does not mean that we have not gotten the message.

The bottom line here is: the thread was full of people saying '/signed' and petition threads of that nature are not allowed. I am a moderator. I moderated. I don't have to justify that.

If people had access to all the information about server balance, certain people would choose the wrong realms for the wrong reasons.

For example, if I wanted to level up on a PvP server but I found out that the server I wanted had a high 'opposing faction', I would roll a character on a lower populated PvP realm, level it up 'easily', then migrate it.

Or I really want to 'leech' honor so I want to get into as many matches as possible, I'd go find out which realm had the highest opposing faction so they all joined the battleground queues and have to wait whilst I can just jump in and out of games whenever I want to.

If you give people information, they find a way to exploit it to their advantage. We've seen this and we know it to be true.

I'm afraid you guys just have to take our word for it when we say "It's under control".

I don't think it's any secret that the EN Community team were short-staffed for a while.

You have to try and keep in mind that we are but a handful of people attempting to nudge the behemoth that is this community in the right direction.

There will be losses and there will be times when we stray off the beaten path, but we are doing this for you guys.

I'm here now and once I've had a little time to learn the ropes, I will do everything I can to respond as often as I can.

Believe it or not, I applied for this job because I wanted to help the community. I love this game and I love that everyone else is so passionate about it. I might make mistakes, and I might put my foot in my mouth occasionally but I'm going to try and be your very own William Wallace.

Sorry, Scottish joke.

Touché, Mathak :)

Well I'm off for the weekend now guys. Try not to kill each other whilst I'm gone, ok?

Hopefully I'll have my avatar sorted out early next week...

Have a good one!
