Error log: posts 41-44

Still, after waiting nearly 3 weeks I have no helpful replies yet from blizzard, HELP!!!

I've read all the #132 help threads but either it doesn't work or i don't have a clue whats going on. I had to fully download the game again as the patch download wasn't working after the bliz downloader had downloaded it. I then had to download about 4 or 5 patches to get it fully up to date. After downloading the 2.4.3 patch I went on WoW, the video started (after about 15 minutes of waiting) but when it had finished it came off WoW and displayed this message:

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This application has encountered a critical error:

ERROR #132 (0x85100084) Fatal Exception
Program: C:\Program files\ World of Warcraft\ WoW.exe
Exception: 0xC0000005 (ACESS_VIOLATION) at 001B:00710861

The instruction at "0x00710861" referenced memory at "0x00000A2C"
Memory could not be "read"

Press OK to terminate the application

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I've run Windows Diagnostic, Deleted WTF, Cashe and Interface folders and have no clue what to do.

Please help because I've just had to copy exactly what my error message said from a screenshot.

If There are any Blizzard Tech guys (or any1 else) then please help

oh and it only started when i got the new patch, no problems before that

oh and i have 2046mb ram and 1.67GHz processor

AND when i used to load up WoW it would take me at least 10mins before I was logged in

Hi,

It would be a lot helpful if you could post the complete Error #132 log, not that this error is a general memory error which has caused the game to crash.

Brokensoul ,

Your error isn't the same, the error you are getting is indicating that that you don't have enough free memory, the cause of this is generally a damaged game cache.

Close the game down then locate the World of Warcraft installation folder and delete the Cache folder then restart the game.

If you get the same error, close the game down and delete the WTF and Interface folders along side the Cache folder.

Zoifar,

Looks like your AV program is crashing or is experiencing problems, have you had any issues with AVG recently?

To be on the safe side I'd recommend you check that you RAM is okay, as that could be what is causing your game to crash. Try using as program called HCI Memtest (http://hcidesign.com/memtest/). The program is small, is quite simple to use and is quite reliable for showing any possible memory problems.

Download the zip file to your computer and extract the program exe to your desktop. It does not need to be installed and simply runs when double-clicked. Press OK at the message prompt then click on the "Start Testing", another prompt will appear so click OK again.

For the purposes of this test make sure you close down all none essential programs, such as MSN, Windows Blinds etc.. and allow the program to complete 1000-2000% coverage.
