Feral form epic skins.

I have noted this earlier, but I must say it again. I will be HIGHLY dissappointed if nothing along these lines appear in the expansion. Because, as much as I enjoy my bear form, I do feel inferior when standing next to fully epic geared characters. I'm the same hairy beast I was at level 10, and this is a disgrace.

One obvious solution to this was to give a final animal form to druids at 70, with marginally improved stats. The other solution, and one that would be very easy to implement I might add, would be to allow us class specific quests that simply improved our animal form skins, in exactly the same way as mages get pigs and turtles instead of sheep.

If it is just one more version of both cat and bear, I will be satisfied. And seriously, the enjoyment I and the whole druid community would get from the creation of a single measly quest line and two new skins would be immense. No need to improve our stats, no need to create new animations, I just don't want to have to watch that retarded lion anymore! Make us look and feel epic!

I have had these thoughts myself and I honestly think this is a nice idea :-)

To everybody: Please do not forget to post your nice ideas and suggestions in the suggestions forum also :-)

Vaneras, now that's a post the druid community likes to see, however that addresses only the most useless aspects of the druid.

Indeed, but I do not yet have much to say in the many threads that is about end game raiding issues or itemization issues for feral/balance druids.

Not to worry though... We are reading what you say in those threads though :-)

We just received word from the developers on the whole Feral form epic skin idea, and I thought you guys should know about it. :-)

Here is what hey had to say:
"It’s sketchy and unlikely based on production time right now but it would be cool. "

And any words about our REAL problems?

Like a /dance more "cool" for my cat?[sarcasm off]

So, should i understand that if the devs are loooking into our "coolness" factor all other problems are solved?

SO, if all our problems are solved, should i consider that what is on the site on preview right now is the final version?

Hmmm, who was NOT quiting the game?

No! You should not “understand” or “consider” anything that suggest that all the druid problems and issues are resolved, simply because the developers happened to have a comment on the whole ‘epic skins for feral form’ idea.

We got word from the developers regarding the thing that was being discussed in this very thread and we wanted you to know what they said. That is all.

When we get specific info about the other druid concerns, such as itemization for feral and balance druids, we will let you know.

Please try not to create a fuss and blow things out of proportion, because you are not helping anyone or fixing any problems with this attitude. The Burning Crusade has not been released yet, and tons of things can happen and change before then. It is really not appropriate to declare that a class is doomed or useless when you haven’t even tried to play your Druid in the expansion yet and when you haven’t yet seen the complete picture of how the game will be when the Burning Crusade is released.

mmmm, ok, fair enough for now.

But some more info about other threads and problems, or at least some lines like: "ok, i read this thread and some ideeas are ok, i will pass them to the designers team" would be nice.

At least the aknowledgement of the flaws is a good point of start, when you don't reply on something that is a real issue ppl feel leftover, especialy when you post a reply on a thread like this ;).

Well I can understand that you are passionate about your class and that you are frustrated because of the seemingly "ignored" concerns and issues many of you have posted about for some time now. However it is not true that we ignore and never post in "righteous" and "real" threads.

We have several times before acknowledged your concerns about the druid class and we have informed you that we are reading and forwarding what you say. The latest example can be found in this thread just a few pages back: http://forums.wow-europe.com/thread.html?topicId=44144770&sid=1

It is not always that we comment in those threads that you wish had more “blue” in them, especially if we do not have any new information to give you related to the topic being discussed, but I can assure you that we read and forward what is being said in those threads.

[edit] Nasty typo :-(

We just got a little more feedback from the developers on this. As said before, the developers really like this idea, but their primary concerns at the moment are balance issues. Graphical and cosmetic improvements are important indeed, but not as important as correcting balance issues. There are no immediate plans to improve the “epic” feel just yet.

[edit] fixed broken quote tags :-)
